SAIF is Oregon’s not-for-profit workers’ compensation insurer since 1914, dedicated to helping injured workers return to work and keeping rates low. Facing digital disruption from startups and evolving customer expectations for speed and mobile access, SAIF needed to move away from costly custom development toward configurable, data-driven solutions that could deliver faster service and better information access.
SAIF implemented Hyland’s OnBase content services platform for low-code development and strong Guidewire integration, converting 42 million documents and building electronic workflows with Hyland Global Services. The partnership overcame early conversion and change-management challenges, delivered paperless automated workflows that cut processes from days to minutes, enabled remote access and faster customer turnaround, and reduced custom development effort through out-of-the-box integrations and accelerators.
