Statistics Finland manages government data simultaneously with 250 users

Statistics Finland, the national statistics agency of the Finnish government, needed to overhaul its aging and overlapping custom publishing systems. The challenge was to create a more transparent, reusable, and multichannel content workflow within an aggressive three-year timeline while ensuring strict security and governance for sensitive data. To meet this challenge, they selected the Hygraph headless CMS as their new content platform.

Hygraph provided a secure, API-first solution that enabled the simultaneous onboarding of 250 users with granular permission roles to protect data integrity. The platform’s flexible content modeling allowed the team to create reusable structured content for omnichannel publishing. As a result, Statistics Finland successfully modernized its entire publication workflow, achieving full GDPR compliance and integrating seamlessly with its ecosystem of microservices on Microsoft Azure.
