Media Giant’s IT Team Easily Elevates Service Levels with HYCU SCOM MP for F5 BIG-IP

Global Media and Entertainment Company, a leading global media company with more than 25,000 employees, needed a better way for its centralized IT team to monitor and support business-critical applications across distributed business units. The team wanted to keep using Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) to avoid adding complexity, but needed a solution that could handle Citrix and later F5 BIG-IP monitoring within its existing service model. HYCU provided the SCOM Management Pack for F5 BIG-IP to meet that need.

Using HYCU SCOM Management Pack for F5 BIG-IP, the company gained native SCOM visibility into BIG-IP configuration, health, capacity, and security certificate status without introducing new infrastructure. HYCU helped the IT team improve service levels, identify and resolve root causes faster, proactively address capacity issues, and reduce outages caused by expired certificates. While no hard numerical ROI was reported, the company said HYCU enabled its SCOM team to elevate service levels without learning new technology or adding infrastructure.
