Ballester Hermanos, one of Puerto Rico’s largest food, beverage, household product, and pharmaceutical distributors, needed a backup strategy that could support its always-on SQL Server environment without causing downtime. After adopting Nutanix for its hyper-converged infrastructure, the company found its existing backup approach created disruptive “application stun” and even brief interruptions during backups to its disaster recovery cluster.
