Australian independent Catholic school discovers ultimate backup and restore simplicity with HYCU

Chevalier College, an independent Catholic secondary school in New South Wales, Australia, needed a simpler backup and recovery approach for its small IT team as it migrated from a SAN-based hypervisor environment to Nutanix AHV. As support for its previous backup tool’s Nutanix AHV integration was still immature, the school looked for an alternative and turned to HYCU, Purpose-built Backup and Recovery for Nutanix.

HYCU was deployed to protect Chevalier College’s Nutanix environment, including 60 virtual machines and workloads such as terminal services, Windows applications, web services, and SQL databases. The solution was up and running in under 45 minutes, and HYCU’s tight Nutanix integration made management easier and recovery much faster—restores that previously took half a day were reduced to about 30 minutes.
