A Huxley Case Study
The Powell-Cotton Museum faced the challenge of creating a collaborative and accessible digital presence that could serve its audiences during and after the COVID pandemic. They needed a website that could integrate audience conversation and showcase their social outreach, all while championing decolonization. They partnered with vendor Huxley for a project involving web development, UX, and design on the WordPress platform.
Huxley implemented a WordPress-based website featuring content hubs and integrated custom social feeds from multiple channels, allowing the museum to effectively share its best social content. A key part of the solution was a new, easy-to-manage collections system for cataloging exhibits online. The project was completed on-time and on-budget, providing an accessible platform for continuous audience engagement. Huxley continues to support the site, ensuring accessibility compliance and improving UX through ongoing research.
