British Council achieves WCAG 2.1 compliance with Huxley in 2020

The British Council MENA engaged Huxley to conduct a comprehensive accessibility audit of its Egyptian website, a key step in its process to achieve compliance with WCAG 2.1 standards. The challenge was to identify UX and accessibility issues in order to roll out improvements across all of its Middle East and North Africa websites.

Huxley implemented a solution involving three testing techniques: desk-based testing, assistive technology testing, and user testing with relevant participants. This approach identified both global and specific accessibility issues. The vendor provided a detailed report that enabled the British Council to achieve full WCAG 2.1 compliance for the website.
