Tufts University’s University Advancement Division needed a better way to reach alumni and other constituents than email alone, which was getting lost in crowded inboxes and spam filters. To improve outreach and create more two-way communication, Tufts turned to Hustle and its peer-to-peer texting platform.

With Hustle, Tufts added human-powered texting to its multi-channel strategy, enabling more personal, targeted conversations and better audience insights. The results included a 44% engagement rate during 2019 Alumni Weekend, 24% during the year-end outreach campaign, and 17% during the May 2020 COVID-19 check-in, while also helping drive stronger action and fundraising responses.
