In the Wake of Supply Chain Attacks Targeting SMBs, F1 Solutions Goes All In on Huntress to Secure Customers

F1 Solutions, a security-first MSP in Huntsville, Alabama led by Jennifer VanderWier, was jolted into action when Huntress alerted them to the July 2021 Kaseya supply chain attack (REvil). Concerned about detection and response beyond prevention, F1 Solutions leaned on Huntress’ managed detection and response capabilities—including Huntress Managed EDR and the Managed Antivirus feature—to reassess and strengthen protections for their customers.

Working with Huntress, F1 Solutions expanded coverage from 500 to nearly 4,000 endpoints, migrated customers to centrally managed Defender via the Huntress dashboard in under 30 hours, and reallocated antivirus spend to other security measures. Huntress also helped deescalate a spike in false alerts, streamlined reporting for cyber insurance, and provided marketing and custom-branded reports—measurable changes that improved operational efficiency and strengthened customer security posture.
