A HungerRush Case Study
Hungry Howie's Pizza, a national carry-out and delivery chain known for its Flavored Crust®, wanted a simple, user-friendly loyalty program that could automatically track participating purchases across locations and tie directly into its online ordering and POS systems. In mid-2016 the chain chose HungerRush and its Honeycomb loyalty platform to build and customize Howie Rewards® to meet those requirements.
HungerRush worked with Hungry Howie's technology team to implement Honeycomb integrated with HungerRush online ordering and POS, minimizing manual redemptions and customer friction. The results were dramatic: in 2017 Howie Rewards processed over 850,000 loyalty orders totaling more than $15 million in net sales, delivered over 147,000 free medium two-topping pizzas, and achieved a 74% redemption rate—roughly three times the typical 20% benchmark.
