Frank’s Pizza Taps into Custom Configuration from HungerRush to improve the Customer Experience

Frank’s Pizza, a long-standing New York–style pizzeria in Houston with three locations including Frank’s Backyard and Frank’s Delivery, was struggling when a newly implemented EMV chip-reader upgrade began slowing checkout during peak times. Although Frank’s had deployed the HungerRush POS in its newer locations, the flagship needed a solution to restore the speed and efficiency customers expected.

HungerRush implemented a custom POS configuration that disabled the chip-only EMV requirement to allow card swiping and optimized workflows, prompting Frank’s to switch back to the HungerRush POS and Payment System. The change immediately improved throughput—about two customers per minute (a transaction every 30 seconds)—streamlined drawer reconciliation and order entry, and preserved fraud and chargeback protections across all locations.
