Preventing Harmful Deepfakes with Hume's EVI

Reality Defender, a deepfake detection platform, faced the challenge of staying ahead of rapidly evolving synthetic voice threats. Their traditional detection methods were reactive, leaving them vulnerable to new generations of sophisticated audio deepfakes used for fraud and disinformation. To develop a proactive strategy, they partnered with vendor Hume AI and its Empathic Voice Interface (EVI).

Hume AI provided Reality Defender with early access to its EVI technology for datasets to refine its audio detection models and prepare for emerging voice synthesis techniques before they become widely available. The partnership equipped Reality Defender with next-generation detection capabilities to better identify sophisticated voice deepfakes and stop malicious actors.
