Technology Company Measures the Impacts of Remote Work to Drive Organizational Health

Humanyze worked with a large multinational technology company that needed to understand how a sudden shift to remote work was affecting collaboration and organizational health. The company wanted to preserve an engaging, productive, and adaptable culture while monitoring workday length, after-hours work, team collaboration, cross-level communication, and manager interaction.

Using Humanyze’s anonymized analytics across calendar, email, regional location, and Slack data, the company measured organizational health before, during, and after the remote-work transition. Humanyze found that the organizational health score dipped from 6.4 to 5.8 during the shift, then recovered to 6.3; after-hours work peaked at 55% before easing to 35%, and close collaborators rose from 6 to 10 per employee before settling at 8. The insights helped the company reinforce culture initiatives, improve meeting behaviors, and continue tracking collaboration and work-life balance.
