Large Global Workplace Analytics Software Providing Company partnered with Humanyze, a workplace analytics software provider, to understand how remote work was affecting employees during the pandemic and to inform post-pandemic workplace strategy. The company’s challenge was to balance employee connectivity, collaboration, attrition risk, and return-to-office planning using a data-driven approach.

Humanyze combined a 2021 survey of 1,431 U.S. knowledge workers with Organizational Health Platform™ analytics drawn from anonymous email, chat, calendar, and call data to measure collaboration patterns before and after the shift to remote work. The analysis found, among other impacts, a 16% increase in core connections, a 27% increase in cross-level collaboration, a 10% increase in alignment, and a 24% increase in knowledge diffusion, while also showing a 21% decrease in weak connections and a 4% decrease in interactions with managers.
