ZALORA Stops Sneaker Bots and Protects Brand Reputation

ZALORA, Asia’s leading online fashion, beauty, and lifestyle retailer, needed to protect its exclusive sneaker and apparel drops from bot operators, credential stuffing, fake account creation, and web scraping. These attacks threatened brand reputation, increased infrastructure costs, and put pressure on the company’s ecommerce experience. To address these challenges, ZALORA turned to HUMAN for bot management and account takeover defense.

HUMAN was deployed through ZALORA’s Amazon CloudFront CDN and WAF infrastructure to stop scraping, scalping, and account takeover attacks using behavior-based, machine learning detection. The results were immediate: HUMAN detected 400% more malicious bots than ZALORA’s previous solution and reduced hosting and bandwidth costs by about 30%. With HUMAN, ZALORA improved site performance, protected its reputation, and gave real customers a better chance to buy exclusive products.
