Venatus Media, an ad technology platform serving the gaming and entertainment space, was hit by frequent malicious redirect attacks that slipped through SSPs and created serious problems for publishers. Their Ad Ops team spent countless hours fighting bad ads, and weekend attacks even led some publishers to remove Venatus tags entirely. Venatus needed a more holistic malvertising solution to protect inventory and restore trust.
HUMAN’s Malvertising Defense was implemented to detect and block harmful redirects, malware, and heavy ads while preserving publisher revenue through a behavioral blocking approach. The results were immediate: complaints dropped from 10 to 25 per week to zero overnight, and Venatus saved about 60 work hours per week. After more than a year, the team had only one complaint ticket and now includes HUMAN protection in its value proposition to new publishers.
