McHugh Steel, one of Queensland’s largest steel manufacturers and providers, needed a better way to manage time and attendance for a workforce split between office staff, on-site tradespeople, truck drivers, and sales staff in the field. Using manual cardboard time cards made it difficult to capture accurate start and finish times, and HR and payroll administrator Demi Pressler-McHugh was spending around eight hours a week manually entering timesheets.
