Pencils of Promise partnered with HUMAN™ to address the challenge of moving beyond pity-driven storytelling in global education messaging. Their objective was to create a campaign that honored the dignity and agency of children and families, highlighting community partnership over charity and showcasing the full ecosystem of support required for education.

HUMAN™ created the cinematic anthem film "I PROMISE YOU," shot in Ghana and Guatemala. The solution centered on a poetic narrative that blended vérité footage with an original score to celebrate local aspirations and partnership. The film successfully shifted the narrative for the organization, mobilized donor engagement at fundraising events, and built immense pride among the global Pencils of Promise staff, becoming a cornerstone of their advocacy.
