How NHBlack Labs Delivery provides 401(k) benefits to hourly workers

NHBlack Labs Delivery, a logistics company with a largely hourly workforce, sought to improve employee retention and recruitment by offering a 401(k) plan. The owner, Jeff Falkingham, also identified a significant challenge: his young employees lacked the financial knowledge and tools to effectively save for retirement. The solution implemented through Human Interest included key plan features like automatic enrollment at a 7% deferral rate and employer matching. Human Interest also provided crucial financial education resources. The results were significant: 98% of employees now contribute to their 401(k), and the company's attrition rate dropped to below double digits, far lower than the industry average of 31%.
