The Department of Veterans Affairs Brings High-Powered Digital Signage to Its Hospitals and Clinics

The Department Of Veterans Affairs needed a faster, more professional way to communicate timely information across a wide network of hospitals, clinics and a Law Enforcement Training Center while reducing paper clutter and meeting federal requirements. To address this challenge, the Department Of Veterans Affairs engaged Hughes Network Systems to deploy a Hughes Digital Signage solution for enterprise-wide, real-time messaging.

Hughes Network Systems delivered a fully managed, turnkey digital signage system—end-to-end design, installation, training, operations, help desk and onsite maintenance—installing 250 monitors/players at 11 hospitals and 100 sites at the LETC. The Hughes solution uses zoned displays, scheduling, web-based content management, wayfinding and emergency-alert capabilities, enabling instant, targeted outreach, replacing posters and pamphlets, and improving staff and visitor communications (reaching multiple counties instantly and serving more than 3,000 LETC trainees annually).
