QDOBA’s Transformation Anchored in Stable Network

Qdoba Restaurant Corporation, a fast‑casual chain of 700+ restaurants spun off from Jack in the Box in March 2018, needed to rebuild its entire corporate IT stack, move connections to a new data center and maintain uninterrupted restaurant operations and PCI compliance. To meet that challenge Qdoba relied on Hughes Network Systems and its HughesON Managed Network (broadband, Wi‑Fi/guest Wi‑Fi and PCI compliance attestation) as its enterprise networking partner.

Hughes Network Systems provided a stable HughesON backbone that enabled a cloud‑first migration and “lift-and-shift” of applications, letting Qdoba’s 13‑person IT team deploy Zscaler, Okta and CrowdStrike and integrate Paytronix and Olo for loyalty and ordering while reducing PCI burden via Hughes’ attestation. The outcome: Qdoba rebuilt its tech infrastructure in about nine months, launched a new website and mobile app, experienced no real degradation of sales during go‑live, and freed IT to focus on guest experience.
