Connections Housing, a homeless service and residential community center, faced the challenge of managing the complex $25 million transformation of the historic World Trade Center building. The developer had not previously completed a project of this scale and sought expert assistance. They selected Hughes Marino for its Program, Project & Construction Management services to help guide the difficult construction process.

Hughes Marino provided comprehensive construction management, including schedule and budget monitoring, site inspections, and change order negotiations. The vendor was instrumental in setting expectations for the general contractor and design team, which kept the 118,000-square-foot tenant improvement project on track. Hughes Marino's oversight ensured the successful delivery of the innovative center, which now provides 73 permanent supportive housing units and 150 interim housing beds.
