Albert Einstein Academy completes a 42,000 SF middle school renovation with Hughes Marino

Albert Einstein Academy required the transformation of a former hospital building into a new charter middle school. The challenge involved a complex, full-scale renovation and site redevelopment to create modern educational facilities in time for the school year. Hughes Marino was engaged to provide comprehensive program, project, and construction management services to oversee the entire process.

Hughes Marino managed the project from initial due diligence and entitlements through design, permitting, and construction. The solution included demolishing the interior, creating classrooms, a library, science labs, and athletic fields from the old parking lot. Hughes Marino's team ensured the project was completed on schedule and also helped the academy achieve LEED Silver certification. The successful transformation resulted in a 38,000 SF, four-story school and a 32,000 SF athletic facility, completed within the $10 million budget.
