A Hudl Case Study
The Warwick Wolves, a British university American football team competing in the rapidly growing BUAFL, faced the challenge of giving new players meaningful feedback, scouting opponents effectively, and moving beyond rudimentary tripod recordings and unstructured video files. To solve that, the Wolves adopted Hudl’s video analysis platform to centralize game, practice and scout footage and make film review a routine part of training and preparation.
Using Hudl, coaches and players tag plays, leave comments, share scout tape (the Wolves collected nine opponent games for a quarterfinal run), and review targeted clips on their own time, streamlining scouting and time management. Hudl helped the team become more strategic—players now recognize formations and coverages quickly—and produced measurable gains: more consistent practice-review cycles, improved individual play, and team success (including back-to-back 7‑1 seasons and a playoff appearance).
