A Hudl Case Study
Nike Academy, the elite talent-development program run by Nike, faces the challenge of rapidly preparing a constantly changing, multinational squad for high-level competition and scouting exposure. With players rotating in and out for trials, limited time on the pitch, varied formations to teach, and language barriers among recruits, the academy needed a way to deliver consistent, on-demand coaching and to showcase players to scouts. To meet this need they adopted Hudl’s video analysis tools (including Hudl and Hudl Stream) to distribute clips, full-match footage and learning resources directly to players’ phones and tablets.
Hudl’s platform enabled faster tactical learning, easier coach–player feedback and quick sharing of highlights, stats and physical data with scouts—critical during tight travel and match schedules. Coaches reported accelerated improvement (for example, a non-English-speaking player advancing tactically much faster), more off-pitch learning, and streamlined scouting follow-up. Hudl’s analysis turnaround and sharing capability helped support the academy’s strong pathway outcomes—63 players signed professional contracts since the program began, with four signings in the last five months—and staff say they wouldn’t have achieved the same results without Hudl.
