Case Study: West Australian Football League improves video access and efficiency with Hudl and Sportscode

A Hudl Case Study

Preview of the West Australian Football League Case Study

Hudl Brings the West Australian Football League Closer Together through Video

The West Australian Football League (WAFL), a State League competition with nine clubs and three grades, needed a better way to store and exchange match-day vision across geographically dispersed stakeholders. Many players also work or study full time, so the league needed a way to make footage available wherever people were.

WAFL implemented Hudl and Sportscode as a league-wide video analysis solution. The competition uploads vision on Saturday night or Sunday morning, clubs download it and sync it to Sportscode, then share coded data and video through Hudl with players and coaches. The league said the rollout has been fairly seamless, improved efficiency and timing, removed the need for hard drives and desktop transfers, and provided a cost-effective, reliable way for clubs, umpires, players and coaches to communicate.
