Case Study: Government of Uzbekistan achieves nationwide remote education with Huawei HD Videoconferencing

Uzbek Universities Offer Online Education

The Government of Uzbekistan worked with Huawei to address major education challenges, including uneven access to resources across 100 universities and 1,500 high schools, and the need to improve teaching quality through a national remote education system. Huawei provided HD videoconferencing solutions for online education, including high-capacity MCU platforms and HD conferencing endpoints for multimedia classrooms.

Huawei implemented the first phase of the remote education rollout in 2011, supporting flexible expansion, high-capacity multi-site conferencing, and secure transmission for educational content. By the end of 2012, the solution had been deployed in 80 education institutions with a total of 117 sites, helping the Government of Uzbekistan improve communication, share information more efficiently, and strengthen interaction across the country’s education network.
