SZMG Speeds News Production with OceanStor
Shenzhen Media Group (SZMG), a regional news leader running multiple TV channels, radio stations, and media platforms, needed to speed up news production and streamline collaboration across its news center, production, aggregation, release, and operations platforms. To support journalists editing audio, video, images, and text more efficiently, SZMG sought fast, reliable storage for online production, archiving, and backup, and turned to Huawei and its OceanStor storage technology.
Huawei implemented the OceanStor 9000 Storage Solution as part of its Convergent Media Cloud Solution, creating a hybrid media production platform with separate high-performance online and archive storage in a single virtualized file system. The result was a scalable, all-IP architecture supporting up to 40 PB, 288 nodes, and 13.375 GB/s of bandwidth for resilient online performance; SZMG also gained a converged news center supporting 160 workstations and faster, more flexible content production and distribution.
