Its old system lacked unified management, had unclear SD camera images, suffered video-loss risks, and offered no intelligent diagnostics to help police maintain or investigate the network efficiently. Huawei was brought in to support the city’s move toward a smarter public safety platform.

Huawei implemented a “Smart Langfang” end-to-end safe city solution, including HD cameras, servers, storage, networking, decoders, and a platform supporting the GB/T28181 protocol for unified management. The new system added cluster deployment, two-level data protection, and intelligent video quality diagnostics that automatically detect image issues and trigger alarms. As a result, City Of Langfang improved case investigation efficiency by more than 20% and security efficiency by 30%, while enabling 24/7 surveillance and a scalable foundation for future expansion.
