Simulation Platform Handling Calculation from Day to Hour

GlobalFoundries, a leading semiconductor chip manufacturer with fabrication plants in Singapore, needed to speed up chip design verification and simulation to support R&D, testing, and delivery. Its existing simulation platform was too slow—taking about one day for a typical calculation task—and lacked the scalability and reliability required for growing workloads. Huawei provided the high-computing platform, using RH8100 V3 servers and ES3000 V2 PCIe SSD cards.

With Huawei’s RH8100 V3 servers and ES3000 V2 PCIe SSD cards, GlobalFoundries replaced its aging simulation infrastructure with a more scalable, high-performance system. Huawei says the new platform reduced typical simulation calculation time from one day to one hour, improved overall simulation performance by more than 10 times, and delivered 15% lower failure rates than the industry average, helping ensure stable and reliable operation.
