Shenzhen Luohu Government Creates eGovernment Cloud Platform with Huawei FusionSphere

The Luohu District, a major financial center in Shenzhen, faced challenges with its eGovernment infrastructure, including poor hardware utilization, low service reliability, and high operational costs. To support its transition to a smart government, the district needed to eliminate information silos and centralize its resources, leading them to partner with vendor Huawei for a cloud solution.

Huawei implemented its FusionSphere cloud platform and FusionManager to centralize deployment and management of over 30 services, creating a shared IaaS platform. The solution, which included the UltraVR disaster recovery system, increased hardware utilization from 5% to 70%, reduced hardware costs by 50%, and provided a secure, active-active disaster recovery solution for the Luohu eGovernment system.
