Qingyuan Polytechnic Starts Cloud Education with Huawei FusionCloud Desktop Solution

Qingyuan Polytechnic, a public college in Guangdong Province with more than 600 teaching staff and about 17,000 students, faced rising pressure from outdated PCs in multimedia classrooms and a growing need for a more manageable digital reading-room environment. The school needed a way to reduce hardware failures, simplify PC administration, and support teaching without constant upgrades, so it turned to Huawei and its FusionCloud Desktop Solution.

Huawei implemented a cloud desktop environment using FusionSphere, FusionAccess, and FusionManager, supported by two E6000 blade servers and two S5500T storage devices. The solution enabled centralized management, rapid desktop provisioning, and linked-clone-based image updates; Qingyuan Polytechnic expanded from 300 to 850 users and provisioned 180 virtual desktops in a day for an English exam.
