Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Qatar needed to replace its legacy NVR-based video storage with a more secure, scalable, and high-availability system to support more than 10,000 CCTV cameras and future expansion. Working with Huawei, HIA sought a modern storage platform that could handle increasing high-definition video demands, improve performance, and support evolving security and retention requirements.
Huawei implemented its OceanStor 9000 video cloud storage solution, providing distributed, centralized management for video data with strong scalability, reliability, and zero-frame-loss performance. The new architecture supports hundreds of HD channels per node, can withstand node failures without disrupting operations, and helped lower total cost of ownership by 20 percent while creating a future-proof platform for up to 100 PB of storage capacity.
