Public Service Center Builds Desktop Cloud

The Public Service Center of Shanghai Pudong, a government agency providing one-stop services for citizens, faced a challenge managing hundreds of desktops across numerous departments. With a diverse array of over 70 specialized peripherals, printers, and scanners from different agencies, they needed a desktop cloud solution with exceptionally high hardware compatibility to support their varied office requirements and ensure quick project delivery.

Huawei implemented its FusionCloud Desktop Solution, powered by FusionAccess, which utilized its proprietary HDP protocol for device and port-level resource mapping. This approach allowed the solution to pass compatibility tests for all 70+ peripherals at the first attempt, enabling the provisioning of 300 concurrent virtual desktops for over 40 departments. The result was efficient, centralized management and a stable system that supports the printing of 10,000 pages daily from just three self-service desktops.
