Guangzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, through its Guangzhou Personnel Information Resource Center, needed to consolidate multiple disparate personnel databases and upgrade storage performance as data volumes grew. The bureau also had to ensure continuous service for critical databases and reuse existing EMC storage equipment while modernizing its personnel information platform.

Huawei implemented a unified storage solution built around the S5600, N8000 clustered NAS, and VIS6000 virtual storage platform to support SAN, NAS, and virtual storage on one system. The solution provided up to 320,000 IOPS, local redundancy backups, and integration of existing and new storage into one resource pool, improving reliability, protecting prior investment, and enabling steady, secure operations for Guangzhou’s “Smart Talents” program.
