Preview of the China National Petroleum Corporation Case Study

Oil Company Builds Asia’s Largest Data Center

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), a major international energy company, needed to replace legacy data centers that could no longer meet growing capacity and disaster recovery demands. To support hundreds of applications across production and operations, CNPC turned to Huawei for help building a new, centrally managed data center environment.

Huawei designed and implemented an integrated data center architecture with local and remote disaster recovery, Big Data support, and a unified approach to service application evaluation and network design. The solution delivered zero-data-loss continuity in disaster scenarios, 99.999% availability, centralized management for more than 70 systems, and a scalable platform that can support growth over the next 5 to 10 years while lowering operations and maintenance complexity.
