OceanStor Dorado5100 Halves Data Processing Time

China Construction Bank’s Guangdong provincial branch needed to speed up its Operational Data Storage Branch (ODSB) system, which supports data loading, extraction, querying, and business applications. Its nightly data-loading window was taking about 5 hours, longer than the reserved time, causing processing to spill into the next day and sometimes delaying information access. Huawei was brought in to address the storage performance bottleneck, using its OceanStor Dorado5100 all-flash storage system.

Huawei migrated application data to the OceanStor Dorado5100 and improved storage response without changing existing business processes or applications. The result was a drop in average storage latency from 11 ms to 1 ms and a reduction in data-loading time from 5 hours to 2.5 hours, helping CCB complete processing within the allotted window and improve daytime service availability.
