OceanStor Charges Into VIVACOM Data Centers

VIVACOM, Bulgaria’s largest telecommunications company, needed to modernize its charging system across three geographically dispersed data centers. Its legacy storage environment had low utilization, poor scalability, difficult management, and limited disaster recovery capabilities, affecting billing, forecasting, and operational reporting. Huawei was brought in to address these issues with an end-to-end storage solution, including OceanStor storage systems.

Huawei implemented one OceanStor 18800F and two OceanStor 18800 storage systems, along with Smart series software, to create a centralized, scalable, and secure storage platform for VIVACOM’s core, proxy, and DR data centers. Huawei also handled data migration with negligible impact on operations. The result was simplified management, improved performance and capacity, better data protection and interoperability, and more than 20% lower TCO compared with the legacy system.
