BovenIJ hospital, a comprehensive hospital in Amsterdam, wanted to expand its network infrastructure in 2011 to improve care quality, support greater collaboration, and replace its original network management approach. The hospital needed a solution that was easy to manage, highly compatible with third-party and legacy 3Com devices, and capable of reducing O&M costs. Huawei, with its eSight network management platform, was selected after evaluation.

Huawei implemented the eSight solution to provide unified management of network devices, servers, and IT applications across multiple vendors. The hospital gained real-time monitoring, alarm notifications by SMS/email and visual alerts, and faster fault location through alarm topology linkage, which reduced maintenance complexity and improved network reliability. BovenIJ reported satisfaction with the solution and looked forward to future expansion projects with Huawei.
