ICBC Modernizes Banking with Huawei Servers

Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), one of China’s largest banks, needed to consolidate and modernize its IT infrastructure to support complex digital banking services while meeting strict requirements for 99.99%+ reliability, strong performance and power efficiency, and rapid delivery of thousands of servers each year. Huawei was selected to help address these needs with its server platform.

Huawei implemented FusionServer RH5885 V3 4U four-socket servers, featuring fault-tolerant RAS capabilities, Intel Xeon E7-4800 v2 processors, and Huawei ES series PCIe SSDs to eliminate storage bottlenecks. The rollout improved stability, boosted database performance to as much as 510,000 IOPS, cut power and electricity costs by more than 10%, and enabled batch delivery and deployment within one week, helping ICBC accelerate new service introduction.
