A Huawei Case Study
Haarlemmermeer government, the municipal authority in North Holland, faced an aging legacy network that could no longer support growing bandwidth demands, cloud applications, VoIP, better surveillance, and more flexible access control across its campus and branch offices. With limited IT staff and rising O&M costs, the city needed a secure, scalable, and future-proof infrastructure. Huawei was brought in to help modernize the network.
Huawei implemented the Agile Campus Network Solution, using S12700 Agile Switches, S5700-LI series switches, CSS2 clustering, and eSight network management. The upgrade increased capacity from 1 Gbit/s to 10 Gbit/s, improved reliability and security, enabled automatic resource deployment and fault location, and reduced power consumption by reusing old cables and energy-efficient devices. As a result, Huawei helped Haarlemmermeer build a more agile, user-friendly campus network with consistent access “anywhere, anytime.”
