Huawei Wi-Fi Solution Improves Wireless Experiences in Dubai Golf Courses of golf in DUBAi

Golf in DUBAI, a major organizer of international golf tournaments in the UAE, needed to deliver reliable Wi‑Fi for guests attending the 2014 Omega Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club. The existing WLAN coverage was limited to a few areas and could support only about 12 users at a time, while the course also required wireless devices to remain invisible so as not to affect the venue’s appearance.

Huawei, working with VISIONTECH INTERNATIONAL, implemented a comprehensive WLAN solution using S5700 LAN switches, indoor and outdoor APs (AP5010/AP6010/AP7110/AP6510), a wireless controller (AC6005), and router switches. Huawei extended coverage across indoor and outdoor areas, supported up to 2,000 users simultaneously, and deployed the full solution within 48 hours before the event, delivering seamless connectivity for thousands of guests and improving the overall tournament experience.
