A Huawei Case Study
The National Supercomputing Center in Shenzhen needed a highly available, secure network to support world-class scientific and engineering computing services for Southern China and nearby regions, while keeping operations simple for staff. Huawei was selected to help address the center’s need for non-congested, low-maintenance infrastructure with strong protection across multiple network layers.
Huawei implemented a layered security solution using USG9500 series cloud data center firewalls, SIG9280 traffic inspection and control equipment, Network Intrusion Protection systems, and Terminal Security Management systems, along with security consulting services. The result was a highly secure, energy-efficient network with 99.9999% availability, 100 Gbit/s processing performance, millisecond-level failover, and support for the center’s 1.271 PFLOPS Linpack performance, helping protect user applications and enable future service growth.
