A Huawei Case Study
Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, a major international hub in Southern China, needed to strengthen information security as passenger and freight traffic grew and online services expanded. The airport faced periodic website crashes from heavy-traffic attacks, limited protection for intranet data exchange, weak terminal access control, and insufficient risk assessment across its service information systems. Huawei provided the security consultation and network protection services used in the case study.
Huawei implemented a holistic security solution that included comprehensive security assessments, 24/7 on-site monitoring, Anti-DDoS protection for outbound Internet traffic, Network Intelligent Police (NIP) threat detection and blocking, and Secospace Terminal Security Management (TSM) for access control and desktop security. As a result, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport improved protection for core applications, key data, terminals, and service systems, while Huawei’s ongoing support helped the airport handle traffic surges more reliably and maintain business continuity.
