Case Study: Ancheng Insurance achieves secure, scalable data center performance with Huawei

A Huawei Case Study

Preview of the Ancheng Insurance Case Study

Huawei Secures Insurance Co. Customer Data

Ancheng Insurance, a large insurance company in Chongqing with 113 branches across China, needed to upgrade its production center infrastructure as data volumes and bandwidth demands grew. Its legacy Ethernet network lacked virtualization and automation, had weak intranet security, and suffered from single points of failure, slow access speeds, and limited scalability. Huawei was brought in to address these challenges with a modern data center networking solution.

Huawei designed and deployed a modular, two-layer production center network using CE12808 core switches, S5700 access switches, redundant devices, and security products including USG firewalls, UTM, and SSL VPN. The new architecture improved performance, reliability, scalability, and security through switch and firewall virtualization, zone-based isolation, and energy-saving hardware. As a result, Ancheng Insurance gained a unified, open, and scalable network with significantly stronger security and lower power consumption, supporting stable 24/7 operations for its core data and services.
