Chongqing West Locomotive Depot, a large freight train maintenance base in western China, needed to improve productivity and implement refined management across its repair and maintenance operations. Huawei helped address challenges such as isolated data systems, manual paper-based information handling, difficult progress tracking, and limited risk control by introducing its Railway Agile Depot solution.

Huawei’s Railway Agile Depot solution combined wireless positioning, mobile access, an agile network, and a unified cloud platform to integrate systems like HMI, AEI, and 5T. The result was better visualized production management, stronger safety and risk control, and improved efficiency: maintenance omission rates dropped by 30 percent, repair and maintenance time was shortened by 20 percent, and network/O&M costs were reduced through consolidated infrastructure.
