Huawei MicroDC Helps Bank of China Grow

Bank of China (BOC), one of China’s largest banks, needed to quickly equip its new Lisbon branch with a full IT environment, including OA, IP phones, email, Wi‑Fi, video conferencing, surveillance, private data networking, and local banking systems. Traditional planning and deployment would have taken 4 to 6 months, and BOC also wanted to avoid the higher O&M and TCO associated with using multiple vendors. Huawei’s MicroDC solution was selected to meet these needs.

Huawei deployed three MicroDC systems for the Lisbon branch and added Huawei eSight network management software for unified management. The integrated, single-rack setup reduced deployment time to less than 1 month, took up less than one square meter per cabinet, and supported unattended operation with lower routine O&M requirements, helping BOC expand into the Portuguese market faster.
