TF1, France’s largest TV station, needed to modernize its digital, IP-based news production as mobile and internet news demanded faster turnaround, better resource sharing across seven channels, and fewer desktop switchovers for journalists. Huawei was brought in to help TF1 move toward an omnimedia-ready, private-cloud production model with media cloud and VDI-based workstation access.

Huawei implemented the Huawei Media Cloud Solution, including a hyper-converged architecture, GPU + VDI unified OA platform, and distributed storage to pool resources and share media assets across channels. The result was a 90% improvement in access efficiency for shared media data, a 50% boost in news editing productivity, and a 50% reduction in time-to-market for new services.
