Huawei Joins with PCITC to Implement Smart Factory 2.0

Petro-CyberWorks Information Technology Company Limited (PCITC), the joint venture contractor supporting Sinopec Group’s smart refinery pilots, needed to improve production optimization, communications, and plant reliability while lowering O&M costs and reducing the risk of unplanned downtime. To address these challenges, PCITC chose Huawei technologies including its eLTE Broadband Trunking Solution, OceanStor high-end storage, TE30 HD videoconferencing, and IoT-based smart warehouse capabilities.

Huawei worked with PCITC to deliver real-time communications, computing, security, and a jointly developed smart manufacturing platform for Smart Factory 2.0. The solution extended optimization from offline to online operations, supported predictive maintenance, centralized data and service management, and enabled AI- and Big Data-driven analysis for equipment, quality, and exception handling; as a result, Sinopec improved productivity, energy efficiency, and overall product quality while helping cut O&M costs and downtime risk.
