Yamama Hospital, a major Saudi Ministry of Health hospital in Riyadh, faced growing network bandwidth demands for PACS and other high-bandwidth healthcare applications. Its legacy LAN still relied on 100M access switches, and its IT environment was underutilized, limiting the adoption of modern healthcare services. Huawei implemented a future-oriented 10G campus network with S-series core and access switches, firewall, WLAN, and the eSight unified management system, along with an IDS2000 modular datacenter for one-stop IT infrastructure. The solution provided GE access with 10GE uplinks, supports future service expansion for the next five years, and gave Yamama Hospital a scalable, flexible, and easier-to-manage environment that reduced maintenance cost and improved readiness for new healthcare applications.
