A Huawei Case Study
Yamama Hospital, a major Saudi Ministry of Health hospital in Riyadh, faced growing network bandwidth demands for PACS and other high-bandwidth healthcare applications. Its legacy LAN still relied on 100M access switches, and its IT environment was underutilized, limiting the adoption of modern healthcare services. Huawei was brought in to help modernize the hospital’s campus network and IT infrastructure.
Huawei implemented a future-oriented 10G campus network with S-series core and access switches, firewall, WLAN, and the eSight unified management system, along with an IDS2000 modular datacenter for one-stop IT infrastructure. The solution provided GE access with 10GE uplinks, supports future service expansion for the next five years, and gave Yamama Hospital a scalable, flexible, and easier-to-manage environment that reduced maintenance cost and improved readiness for new healthcare applications.
